Paper paper paper storage!

When you run a printing shop, you have a lot of paper. And if you are Hello!Lucky, you also have beautifully amazing old printing presses that are probably heavier than a car!

We have recently had the wonderful opportunity of working with Hello!Lucky to make different paper storage elements for their new office in downtown San Francisco. And of course, a print shop this cool cannot just have any old storage units to house their mass amounts of paper, cards and stationary..... they must have beautiful storage. And thus we were put to the test. ^_^ When you run a printing shop, you have a lot of paper. ^_^

So far in this project we have made four things for them, three of them being absolutely enormous. We started with some tall rolling storage for the back of their space that allowed them to more efficiently shelve their boxes of stationary. Special grooved casters, that ride on rails mounted to the floor, were attached to these tall pre-existing shelving units.

This allowed Hello!Lucky to tightly pack their inventory away, and then roll it out for access when needed.

The front of their building is where they have all their printing presses, and tables were needed to house their tall stacks of paper that are staged to go into the press. We custom made these tall tables to be sturdy and durable for all the abuse they will receive being used as a printing press 'block'. The tables needed to take this abuse, and house these little red carts underneath them.

Made of a solid Maple ply with Maple butcher block tops, they are durable as all can be. And they have little wings.

To house all of Hello!Lucky's large pieces of paper (of which they have quite a bit!) we made a large, short spaced shelving unit. Again, made of a Maple ply for durability and strength, and again, with a beautiful and dramatic touch of decorative carvings on the sides.

Finally- to date- we just finished the upstairs invitation box storage, a unit with over 70 small cubbies for their boxes of invitations.

To this we added a delightful decorative boarder, creating a sweet soft look to this unit over 5 ft tall and 10 ft long.
