We were brought on by the Project Wreckless team to renovate this historic building in San Francisco. The program brings in at risk youth to work for 7 months restoring vintage "bad ass" cars; giving the kids a tangible goal with great rewards and team building skills. The building is well suited for this group, being a large open space with existing roll up doors, in an area of SF where at risk youth live.
In conjunction with the architectural drawings for converting this historic building in San Francisco into a woking auto shop for the Project Wreckless program, we helped design and fabricate these wrench railing details.
After the wenches were waterjet, they needed some additional clean up and welding. Standing at 40" tall, they are some heavy, impressive wrenches!

The bright modern color scheme adds some modern touches into this very utilitarian work space. Empty now, it will soon be filled with cars and a vibrant team of kids engaged in the mission.
