The Crucible's Fire Arts Festival
Being just down the street from The Crucible , we have been watching them set up for this year's Fire Arts Festival for the past month. More and more stuff started to go up in that lot across from their building, and this year we finally got the chance to go and check it out.

This year's Fire Arts Festival was "The Fire Odyssey" - and adaptation of Homer's Odyssey.... and it was awesome.
The production was amazing and filled with delightful performers, sets and playful adaptations of the original Homer's Odyssey. My favorite was when Odyssey's crew put on big ear muff hearing protection to go by the island of the Sirens. Get it!?!
Dan Das Man and Karen Cusolito had their four statues in the production, representing each of the gods as they towered
over the stage. Even the local West Oakland fire dept. had a roll, playing the part of Poseidon and spraying a fire hose onto the stage when he got angry.
Other attractions were Dance Dance Immolation , The Flaming Lotus Girls giant flaming snake, and LuckyJuJu Pinball with their Lil' Ju Ju Mobile Pinball Museum.
